M.I.A
I have been missing in action. The past two and a half weeks have flown by as I started my new job and focused on getting adjusted. First, let me say I apologize for the lack in posts. Getting adjusted to my commute may be almost as hard as learning a new job. I have probably doubled my car miles just in this month (I exaggerate of course). So far, my new job has been awesome. I love the benefits, the employees, my role and its responsibilities. I am sure I made the right move out of accounting and into facilities (it’s way more lively, perfect for my personality). The flexibility is what is most nice. I have a lot going on and the ability to tailor my schedule to that was a huge benefit in my decision to switch jobs. You can't put a price on that convenience (but my job sure did hehe). Today marks the beginning of 4 weeks at Kohl's. Although I still feel I am still learning a lot in my role, I love what I've seen so far.
The best part of my job is the "what's best for you" dress code. I went out and spent quite a handful on new jeans (I somehow justified that need). I can wear jeans every day of the week if I want, I can dress up, and it’s totally up to me. Of course I purchased some new HUDSON jeans (I'm addicted) and really love the ability to pick my style at work. I find myself caring more about my weekday style, exploring more, and getting more inspiration from all the "what's best for you" options around me all day.
I have been here 4 weeks and have not repeated an outfit yet. That’s the beauty in having flexibility in my style. I have also been shopping a lot more as result (there's always a downside). With that I have found the below trends. A jumpsuit which can be pretty hard to shop for and a pocket friendly suede flow dress. Check out my new finds and check back for more (frequent) posts. Xoxo
